Live, Live and Live again, Live and Live again

On easter Sunday morning along with countless other pastors around the globe I preached a resurrection message; that among many other things the resurrection of Christ ensured that we could Live, Live some more and Live again. It’s not often I preach on the hereafter but it seemed appropriate to remind followers of Christ that due to the events of that first easter Sunday we can

*live this life to the full,

*when we’ve lived it out we can live some more in paradise

*but only for a while until we become complete again with renewed bodies and enjoy heaven on earth … forever.

Helping me on that morning was the testimony of a friend. She told her story via video. A story of courage & purpose in this life whilst facing certain death due to the ravages of cancer. I have known Liz Gauntlett since she was a student in Oxford. My wife studied with her and shared the great news of Jesus with Liz; who responded positively and completely. She became a faithful friend to many and a faithful follower of Jesus.

Last week, her funeral service and subsequent thanksgiving service were events full of hope. Liz, we miss you.

The video clips I used were edited from a 20 minute interview Liz gave before her early death at the age of just 45. I firmly believe that all who watch the full interview will be drawn to join Liz in believing more fully that death & the grave have lost their sting and been robbed of victory.

Thank you Jesus for enabling us to live, live some more and live again.
